Thomas Aquinas on Gratitude to God

Discussions of gratitude to God characteristically presuppose some philosophical or theological framework. This and exploration examines the topic in light thought Thomas Aquinas. Unlike treatments Aquinas’ account gratitude, I draw extensively on commentaries Scripture as well lesser known works, such his sermons, illuminate these topics rather than exclusively relying Summa theologiae. In first part this article, focus how Aquinas understands virtue God. second part, examine ingratitude And third consider difference Jesus makes understanding issues, including contesting claim that “Jesus was an ingrate”.
