چکیده
Deposit formation and fouling in reactors for polymer production processing especially microreactors is a well-known phenomenon. Despite the flow pressure loss optimized static mixers, occurs on surfaces of mixer elements. To improve performance such parts even further, stainless steel substrates are coated with ultra-thin films which have low surface energy, good adhesion, high durability. Perfluorinated organosilane (FOTS) deposited via chemical vapor deposition (CVD) compared FOTS containing zirconium oxide sol-gel regarding prevention deposit during polymerization processes microreactors. Both film structures led to anti-adhesive properties microreactor component aqueous poly(vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP) synthesis. determine morphology chemistry coatings, different characterization methods as X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) well microscopic field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) atomic force (AFM) applied. The free energy wetting analyzed by means contact angle measurements. application thin film-coated mixing elements demonstrates significant lowering increase caused reduced formation.

Microreactor-Assisted Solution Deposition for Compound Semiconductor Thin Films
State-of-the-art techniques for the fabrication of compound semiconductors are mostly vacuum-based physical vapor or chemical vapor deposition processes. These vacuum-based techniques typically operate at high temperatures and normally require higher capital costs. Solution-based techniques offer opportunities to fabricate compound semiconductors at lower temperatures and lower capital costs. A...
متن کاملSurface Modification for Microreactor Fabrication
In this paper, methods of surface modification of different supports, i.e. glass and polymeric beads for enzyme immobilisation are described. The developed method of enzyme immobilisation is based on Schiff’s base formation between the amino groups on the enzyme surface and the aldehyde groups on the chemically modified surface of the supports. The surface of silicon modified by APTS and GOPS w...
متن کاملIn Situ Surface Tailoring with Zwitterionic Carboxybetaine Moieties on Self-Assembled Thin Film for Antifouling Biointerfaces
A novel biointerface bearing zwitterionic carboxybetaine moieties was developed for effective resistance to nonspecific adsorption of proteins and blood cells. Self-assembled thin films (SAFs) of (N,N-dimethylaminopropyl) trimethoxysilane were formed as mattress layers by either vapor or solution deposition. Subsequently, the tertiary amine head groups on SAFs were reacted with β-propiolactone ...
متن کاملPile-up glass microreactor.
We made a 'pile-up' microreactor in which ten levels of microchannel circuits were integrated to form a single glass entity. Solutions were distributed to each layer via cylindrical holes with a diameter much larger than that of the microchannel. Fabrication of the pile-up reactor was completed using only conventional photolithography, wet etching and thermal bonding techniques, and no special ...
متن کاملPreferential Oxidation of Carbon Monoxide in a Thin-film Catalytic Microreactor: Advantages and Limitations
Silicon microreactors with thin-film wall catalyst were adopted for kinetic studies of CO preferential oxidation (PrOx). The activity of this catalyst was compared to other catalyst systems based on similar formulation. Internal and external mass transport and heat transport limitations of the microreactor were examined and comparisons were made to typical packed-bed lab reactors (m-PBR's). We ...
