Thévenin Equivalent Circuits for Modeling Coupled Common/Differential-Mode Behavior in Power Electronic Systems

چکیده
Modeling the unintended common- and differential-mode (CM DM) behavior of multi-converter power electronic-based systems can be a challenge. Chief among issues is need for detailed knowledge converter hardware to determine model parameters. In this paper, focus on derivation Thévenin-based models that only require characterization at terminals. Periodic linear time varying system analysis first used derive consider applicability such models. Subsequently, methods experimentally characterize Thévenin parameters are established. The modeling approach then establish worst-case predictions CM/DM microgrid which validated using both time-domain simulation experiment.

15 صفحه اولSimulation of Power Electronic Circuits
Power electronic circuits are characteristically variable structure systems with extreme stiffness due to their switching behaviour. Depending on the point of interest, different models and time scales are used for simulation, but in any case, exact consideration of the switching instants is required. At switching instants, the derivatives of switched signals are not continuous, which must be c...
متن کاملDynamic Power Management of Electronic Circuits and Systems
Dynamic power management is a design methodology aiming at controlling performance and power levels of digital circuits and systems, with the goal of extending the autonomous operation time of battery-powered systems, providing graceful performance degradation when supply energy is limited, and adapting power dissipation to satisfy environmental constraints. We present different approaches to p...

متن کاملEquivalent modeling of PMSG-based wind power plants considering LVRT capabilities: electromechanical transients in power systems
Hardware protection and control action are two kinds of low voltage ride-through technical proposals widely used in a permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG). This paper proposes an innovative clustering concept for the equivalent modeling of a PMSG-based wind power plant (WPP), in which the impacts of both the chopper protection and the coordinated control of active and reactive powers a...
