Thermodynamic evolution of a sigmoidal active region with associated flares

چکیده
ABSTRACT Active regions often show S-shaped structures in the corona called sigmoids. These are highly sheared and twisted loops formed along polarity inversion line. They considered to be one of best pre-eruption signatures for CMEs. Here, we investigate thermodynamic evolution an on-disc sigmoid observed during 2015 December 24–28. For this purpose, have employed Emission Measure (EM) filter-ratio techniques on observations recorded by Atmospheric Imaging Assembly (AIA) on-board Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) X-ray Telescope (XRT) Hinode. The EM analysis showed multithermal plasma provided a peak temperature ?10–12.5 MK all flares. sigmoidal structure emission from Fe xviii (93.93 Å) xxi (128.75 lines AIA 94 131 Å channels, respectively. Moreover, study also benchmarks different available estimation solar coronal structures.

Evolution of magnetic fields and energetics of flares in active region 8210
To better understand eruptive events in the solar corona, we combine sequences of multi-wavelength observations and modelling of the coronal magnetic field of NOAA AR 8210, a highly flare-productive active region. From the photosphere to the corona, the observations give us information about the motion of magnetic elements (photospheric magnetograms), the location of flares (e.g., Hα, EUV or so...
متن کاملThe Eruption from a Sigmoidal Solar Active Region on 2005 May 13
This paper presents a multiwavelength study of the M8.0 flare and its associated fast halo CME that originated from a bipolar active region NOAA 10759 on 2005 May 13. The source active region has a conspicuous sigmoid structure at TRACE 171 Å channel as well as in the SXI soft X-ray images, and we mainly concern ourselves with the detailed process of the sigmoid eruption as evidenced by the mul...
متن کاملThe Ribbon-like Hard X-ray Emission in a Sigmoidal Solar Active Region
Solar flare emissions at Hα and EUV/UV wavelengths often appear in the form of two ribbons, which has been regarded as evidence for a typical configuration of solar magnetic reconnection. However, such a ribbon structure has rarely been observed in hard X-rays (HXRs), although it is expected as well. In this letter, we report a ribbon-like HXR source observed with the Reuven Ramaty High Energy ...
متن کاملInvestigating Energetic X-Shaped Flares on the Outskirts of A Solar Active Region
Typical solar flares display two quasi-parallel, bright ribbons on the chromosphere. In between is the polarity inversion line (PIL) separating concentrated magnetic fluxes of opposite polarity in active regions (ARs). Intriguingly a series of flares exhibiting X-shaped ribbons occurred at the similar location on the outskirts of NOAA AR 11967, where magnetic fluxes were scattered, yet three of...
متن کاملSoft X-ray flares and magnetic configuration in a solar active region in February 1992
In this paper, we examine the observational soft Xray flares and the relationship with photospheric vector magnetograms in the active region (NOAA 7070). We analyze the soft X-ray flare on Feb. 24-25, 1992, especially the pre-flare and the relationship with the highly sheared photospheric vector magnetic field near the photospheric magnetic neutral line. We find that the initial reconnection of...
