چکیده

The article presents results of thermodynamic analysis using a zero-dimensional mathematical models negative CO2 emission power plant. developed cycle plant allows the production electricity gasified sewage sludge as main fuel. can be achieved by use this type fuel which is already “zero-emissive” energy source. Together with carbon capture installation, there possibility to decrease below “zero” level. Developed novel gas selected codes allow prediction basic parameters cycles such output power, efficiency, combustion composition, exhaust temperature, etc. paper two cycles, called PDF0 and PFD1, different codes. A comparison obtained three offered chance verify because experimental data are currently not available. predictions between software in literature something new, according studies made authors. For gross efficiency (54.74%, 55.18%, 52.00%), similar relationship for turbine (155.9 kW, 157.19 148.16 kW). Additionally, chemical rate taken into account, ultimately higher efficiencies flue gases increased steam production. trend assessed gas. precise particularly important storage (CCS) system, where relatively new devices mutually cooperate their affect those devices. Proposed employs extended gas–steam determine effect environment. First all, it should stated that slight influence used on obtained, but tendencies same, makes possible analyze various types cycles. Secondly, positive environmental impact proposed solution has been demonstrated, also novelty area

Analysis and Modeling of Vapor Recompressive Distillation Using ASPEN-HYSYS

HYSYS process modeling software was used to analyze the effect of reflux ratio and number of trays on the purity of ethylene in a vapor recompression distillation column and also in an ordinary distillation column. Analysis of data showed that with increased pressure a higher reflux ratio is needed to obtain a purity of 99.9% for both towers. In addition number of trays was varied to see its ef...

Thermodynamic Study of Hot Potassium Carbonate Solution Using Aspen Plus

This paper presents a study on the thermodynamics and transport properties of hot potassium carbonate aqueous system (HPC) using electrolyte non-random two liquid, (ELECNRTL) model. The operation conditions are varied to determine the system liquid phase stability range at the standard and critical conditions. A case study involving 30 wt% K2CO3, H2O standard system at pressure of 1 bar and tem...

Process Simulation and Optimization of Crude Oil Stabilization Scheme Using Aspen-HYSYS Software

In this time of energy crises, low production rate against the increasing demand of oil and gas production regularly hampers both domestic and industrial operations. In addition, safety hazards arising from explosion and increase in the cost of production due to pumping cavitation has pose a great challenge on offshore Floating Production Storage and Off-loading (FPSO) terminals. In view of the...

Estimation of Power Production Potential from Natural Gas Pressure Reduction Stations in Pakistan Using ASPEN HYSYS

Pakistan is a gas rich but power poor country. It consumes approximately 1, 559 Billion cubic feet of natural gas annually. Gas is transported around the country in a system of pressurized transmission pipelines under a pressure range of 600-1000 psig exclusively operated by two state owned companies i.e. SNGPL (Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited) and SSGCL (Sui Southern Gas Company Limited). T...

Simulation and validation of chemical-looping combustion using ASPEN plus

Laboratory-scale experimental studies have demonstrated that Chemical-Looping Combustion (CLC) is an advanced technology which holds great potential for high-efficiency low-cost carbon capture. The generated syngas in CLC is subsequently oxidized to CO2 and H2O by reaction with an oxygen carrier. In this paper, process-level models of CLC are established in ASPEN Plus code for detailed simulati...
