Thermodynamic analysis and optimization design of cooling plate with multiple channels for linear synchronous motor

A liquid cooling plate structure with multiple channels is proposed for linear synchronous motor in this paper. Firstly, a conjugate heat dissipation model established, and coupling analysis fluid temperature fields performed by finite volume method different channel numbers section shapes. The simulation results show that, the capacity of observably improved, especially 6-channels elliptical section. Afterwards, adopting boundary optimization quadratic approximation algorithm, dimensions are further optimized to realize trade-off transfer coefficient pump power. scheme can improve 33.03% reduce pressure drop 85.37% compared original scheme.
