Thermal Performance of Double Pass Solar Air Heater With Tubular Solar Absorber

In this investigation, the effect of replacing conventional solar absorber with a new on thermal performance double-pass air heater has been studied experimentally and numerically. Three configurations have introduced, first configuration is double pass flat plate (DPSAHWFP) for aim comparison, second tubular that includes set tubes which are fitted perpendicularly to direction airflow (DPSAHWT-1), third involves in parallel (DPSAHWT-2). The experiments carried out under indoor conditions at constant heat flux equal 1000 W/m2 different mass flow rates (0.01– 0.03 kg/s). results revealed rate substantial impact compared rise temperature, hence, directly proportional increase rate. addition, experimental numerical outcomes indicated all rates. (DPSAHWT-2) offers higher as other models, where maximum effective efficiency obtained kg/s 80.9 %. Moreover, more efficient than DPSAHWFP DPSAHWT-1 by 4.2 % 9.8 respectively.
