چکیده

In the present work, we compared chemical profile of organic compounds produced in non-catalytic pyrolysis sugarcane bagasse at 500 °C with those obtained by in-line catalytic upgrading vapor phase 350 °C. The influence over was evaluated testing two Ni-based catalysts employing an inert atmosphere (N2) and a reactive (H2) under atmospheric pressure yields liquid varying from 55 to 62%. Major changes were evidenced process H2 atmosphere, wherein higher degree deoxygenation identified due effect synergistic action between catalyst H2. fraction phase, called bio-oil, showed increase relative content alcohols phenolic GC/MS fingerprint after process, corroborating upon derived sugar carboxylic acids. Thus, thermal conversion bagasse, presence catalysts, promoted performance pyrolytic vapors, acting mainly through dehydration reactions. Therefore, adoption this can potentialize use waste biomass produce bio-oil species, which have wide range applications energy industrial sectors.

Thermal Degradation Kinetics of Sugarcane Bagasse and Soft Wood Cellulose

The properties of untreated sugar cane bagasse (SCB) and soft wood (SW) and their respective celluloses were investigated. The celluloses indicated improved crystallinity index values and decreased concentration of lignin and hemicellulose compared to their untreated counterparts. Three degradation models, Kissinger-Akahira-Sunose (KAS), Flynn-Wall-Ozawa (OFW), and Kissinger (KGR) methods were ...

Extraction, Purification, and Characterization of Lignin Fractions from Sugarcane Bagasse

Three-step extraction of lignin fractions from ball-milled sugarcane bagasse (SCB) was studied with 96% dioxane, 50% dioxane, and 80% dioxane containing 1% NaOH at boiling temperature followed by purification to remove hemicelluloses. The total yields of hemicelluloses and lignin were 15.8% and 7.2% based on dried SCB, respectively. In the first step, 5.1% lignin (70.8% of the total extracted l...

Non-oxidative conversion of methane to aromatics over modified zeolite catalysts by transitional metals

The activity of different transitional metals over modified H-ZSM-5 catalysts for methane conversion to aromatics was compared. The first group of catalysts was Mo-impregnated H-ZSM-5 zeolites with 1, 3 and 6 wt% of Mo. The second group was M(3 wt%)- impregnated H-ZSM-5 (M: Ag, Cd, Cr, Mo, Zn and Mn). The catalytic activity of the first group was investigated at 600, 700 and 800 °C and gas hour...
