چکیده
Indoor thermal comfort is critical to building sustainability besides improving occupants’ health, well-being and productivity. However, the applicability of existing standards within different climatic conditions contextual settings often in question. This study presents findings from a longitudinal conducted low-income affordable housing Mumbai, India. Surveys were three distinct seasons warm–humid climate. The linear regression method yielded mean neutral temperature 28.3°C wide band ranging 24.6°C 32.2°C indicating high adaptation among occupants. preferred was found be 26.3°C. Adaptive standards, ASHRAE National Building Code India prescribed narrow range ineffective predicting units. role income shaping expectations established, lending support economic dimension comfort. results would helpful providing design recommendations for future stock development an adaptive model vulnerable communities.

Variability of Thermal Stratification in Naturally Ventilated
Building energy simulation programs often use standard thermal comfort indices and thresholds as boundary conditions. However, most of them focus on comfortable indoor hydrothermal levels, rather than spatial distributions. This paper investigates internal temperature vertical stratification in naturally ventilated residential buildings. To evaluate this effect, a field study was carried out in...
