Thermal Behaviors and Optical Parametric Oscillation in 4H?Silicon Carbide Integrated Platforms

4H-silicon carbide (SiC) integrated platforms have shown great potential in quantum and nonlinear photonics. However, the thermal properties of 4H-SiC waveguides are still unknown, even though thermo-optic effects can play an important role fundamental measurements practical applications. Herein, a microring resonator comprehensively studied, by means both temperature tuning self-heating. The coefficient ratio between absorption diffusion quantitatively measured to be 4 . 21 × 10 ? 5 K 1 14 9 W , respectively. Considering acquired properties, Kerr-nonlinearity-based dual-pump optical parametric oscillation (OPO) is experimentally achieved, thus, it demonstrated that broadband solitons feasibly generated through 4H-SiC-on-insulator (SiCOI) resonators.

We develop a model of large-signal steady-state magneto-optic parametric oscillation in the Faraday configuration of a singly resonant cavity.
