Theoretical study of current-induced domain wall motion in magnetic nanotubes with azimuthal domains

چکیده

We report a theoretical overview of the magnetic domain wall behavior under an electric current in infinitely long nanotubes with azimuthal magnetization, combining one-dimensional analytic model and micromagnetic simulations. highlight effects that, besides spin-transfer torques already largely understood flat strips, arise specifically tubular geometry: \OE{}rsted field curvature-induced anisotropy resulting both from exchange interaction material growth. Depending on geometry tube strength anisotropy, Bloch or N\'eel walls at rest, two regimes motion dominated by either field. determine Walker breakdown all cases, most suitable parameters to achieve high speed.

Current-induced domain wall motion with adiabatic and nonadiabatic spin torques in magnetic nanowires

We investigate current-driven domain wall (DW) propagation in magnetic nanowires in the framework of the modified Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert equation with both adiabatic and nonadiabatic spin torque (AST and NAST) terms. By employing a simple analytical model, we can demonstrate the essential physics that any small current density can drive the DW motion along a uniaxial anisotropy nanowire even i...

Current-induced domain wall motion in nanoscale ferromagnetic elements

We review the details of domain wall (DW) propagation due to spin-polarized currents that could potentially be used in magnetic data storage devices based on domains and DWs. We discuss briefly the basics of the underlying spin torque effect and show how the two torques arising from the interaction between the spin-polarized charge carriers and the magnetization lead to complex dynamics of a sp...

Direct observation of high velocity current induced domain wall motion

We study fast vortex wall propagation in Permalloy wires induced by 3 ns short current pulses with sub 100 ps rise time using high resolution magnetic imaging at zero field. We find a constant domain wall displacement after each current pulse as well as current induced domain wall structure changes, even at these very short timescales. The domain wall velocities are found to be above 100 m/s an...

Discontinuous properties of current-induced magnetic domain wall depinning

The current-induced motion of magnetic domain walls (DWs) confined to nanostructures is of great interest for fundamental studies as well as for technological applications in spintronic devices. Here, we present magnetic images showing the depinning properties of pulse-current-driven domain walls in well-shaped Permalloy nanowires obtained using photoemission electron microscopy combined with x...
