Despite their limited water production and efficiency, double-slope solar stills are an appropriate solution for scarcity in hot arid regions. Numerous studies have focused on enhancing the effectiveness of stills. In this context, study introduces a with air heater condenser (DSSS-SAHC). The back cover conventional still was replaced by glass order to recover still’s thermal losses heating air. transient performance DSSS-SAHC investigated numerically under real weather conditions compared (CDSSS) same aspects. impact various operation factors at flows 0.01 0.1 kg/s account both natural forced circulation, respectively. results revealed increase about 15% 6% efficiency over that CDSSS, respectively, despite distillate insignificantly greater than CDSSS flows. addition, increased as irradiance increased, ambient wind temperature had contrary effects initial saline level negligible overall
