Theft Prediction Model Based on Spatial Clustering to Reflect Spatial Characteristics of Adjacent Lands

چکیده
Previous studies have shown that when a crime occurs, the risk of in adjacent areas increases. To reflect this, previous grid-based prediction combined all cells surrounding event location to be predicted for use model training. However, actual land is continuous rather than set independent as geographic information system. Because patterns occur according detailed method vary, it necessary spatial characteristics prediction. In this study, with similar were classified using Max-p region (a clustering technique), and performance was compared existing random forest tree-based machine learning model). According results, F1 score increased by approximately 2%. Accordingly, there are differences physical environmental factors influenced crime. The findings reveal involving same offender likely around area original crime, indicating repeated features where occurred.

Application of Spatial Clustering to DNDC Model
The explosive global population growth and continuous resource depletion have posed a great challenge for decision makers to figure out a sustainable approach towards fine development. Spatial computing plays a key role in analyzing global trading network and flux of physical/energy flows in natural environment [1][2]. Collaborative efforts such as Food-EnergyWater Nexus [2][3] were established...
متن کاملOn Model Based Clustering in a Spatial Data Mining Context
In this paper we present the finite mixture models approach to clustering of high dimensional data. The mixture resolving approach to cluster analysis has been addressed in a number of different ways; the underlying assumption is that the patterns to be clustered are drawn from one of several distributions, and the goal is to identify the parameters of each and (perhaps) their number. Finite mi...
متن کاملPolygon-Based Spatial Clustering
Clustering geographic data using traditional methods often result in clusters that look dispersed over the geographic space and poorly reflect any underlying spatial structure. We propose a polygon-based spatial clustering approach, which models a spatial object as a polygon with three groups of attributes: general attributes, boundary attributes, and spatial events. We have developed a general...
متن کاملSpatial terms reflect near-optimal spatial categories
Spatial terms in the world’s languages appear to reflect both universal conceptual tendencies and linguistic convention. A similarly mixed picture in the case of color naming has been accounted for in terms of near-optimal partitions of color space. Here, we demonstrate that this account generalizes to spatial terms. We show that the spatial terms of 9 diverse languages near-optimally partition...
متن کاملmortality forecasting based on lee-carter model
over the past decades a number of approaches have been applied for forecasting mortality. in 1992, a new method for long-run forecast of the level and age pattern of mortality was published by lee and carter. this method was welcomed by many authors so it was extended through a wider class of generalized, parametric and nonlinear model. this model represents one of the most influential recent d...
