First observations of the X-ray transient EXO 2030+375 with IBIS/ISGRI
We present a first INTEGRAL observation of the 42 s transient X-ray pulsar EXO 2030+375 with IBIS/ISGRI. The source was detected during Cyg X-1 observations in December 2002. We analyzed observations during the outburst period from 9 to 21 December 2002 with a total exposure time of ∼770 kilosec. EXO 2030+375 was almost always detected during single ∼30 min exposures in the 18−45 energy bands. ...
متن کاملA Strong X-ray Burst from the Low-mass X-ray Binary Exo 0748 676
We have observed an unusually strong X-ray burst as a part of our regular eclipse timing observations of the lowmass binary system EXO 0748 676. The burst peak flux was 5:2 ; 10 8 ergs cm s , approximately 5 times the normal peak X-ray burst flux observed from this source by RXTE. Spectral fits to the data strongly suggest that photospheric radius expansion occurred during the burst. In this pa...
متن کاملThe hard quiescent spectrum of the neutron - star X - ray transient EXO 1745 – 248 in the globular cluster Terzan 5
We present a Chandra observation of the globular cluster Terzan 5 during times when the neutron-star X-ray transient EXO 1745–248 located in this cluster was in its quiescent state. We detected the quiescent system with a (0.5–10 keV) luminosity of ∼ 2 × 10 ergs s. This is similar to several other neutronstar transients observed in their quiescent states. However, the quiescent Xray spectrum of...
متن کاملEclipse Timings of the Transient Low Mass X-ray Binary EXO 0748−676. IV. The Rossi X-Ray Timing Explorer Eclipses
We report our complete database of X-ray eclipse timings of the low mass Xray binary EXO0748−676 observed by the Rossi X-Ray Timing Explorer (RXTE) satellite. As of this writing we have accumulated 443 full X-ray eclipses, 392 of which have been observed with the Proportional Counter Array on RXTE. These include both observations where an eclipse was specifically targeted and those eclipses fou...
