The Ways Ahead

In former Chaps. 1~8, multiple areas of optimization-based energy management methods for maritime grids are illustrated in detail. Based on current research, this Chapter focuses future ways grids. At first, defined as a series “multi-energy microgrids involving different networks and undertaking functions” the coordination between/within comprehensively reviewed, i.e., carriers flows, networks, services coordinated grids, which provides necessity properly designed system to address complicated operating scenarios. Then three main promising reviewed overviewed show roadmaps. The first focus is data-driven technologies, including forecasting navigation uncertainties, estimation storage lifetime, management, so on, uses data-mining facilitate operation second siting sizing problems, renewable energy, storage, fuel cell, gas capture system. third multi-functional systems integrated systems, shipboard microgrids, seaport ocean platforms, between them.
