چکیده

Aim: Oxidative stress is one of the causes contrast-induced nephropathy (CIN). Paraoxonase1 (PON1), oxidative markers. The most sensitive method that has been in use to measure PON1 enzyme activity measurement arylesterase (AREase) activity. To explore relationship between AREase and CIN development.
Material Method: A total 58 STEMI patients were included our study. divided into two groups as (+) (-). success level predicting development was also examined by using ROC analysis.
Results: Out study patients, 13 45 found be statistically significantly lower group (875 U/L vs 819 U/L, p= 0.004). In regression analysis, diabetes mellitus, contrast volume determined independent risk factors CIN. As a result we concluded

Percutaneous coronary intervention in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction.

The culprit lesion in ST-segment–elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) is usually occluded, thrombotic, and subject to vasospasm. These factors can make adequate sizing and deployment of stents in STEMI more challenging than in other clinical settings. Patients with STEMI are at high risk of adverse cardiac outcomes that may be improved with more complete stent apposition and expansion. These...

Smoker's Paradox in Patients With ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction Undergoing Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention.

BACKGROUND Prior studies have found that smokers undergoing thrombolytic therapy for ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction have lower in-hospital mortality than nonsmokers, a phenomenon called the "smoker's paradox." Evidence, however, has been conflicting regarding whether this paradoxical association persists in the era of primary percutaneous coronary intervention. METHODS AND RESULTS...

Association of Syntax Score II with Contrast-induced Nephropathy and Hemodialysis Requirement in Patients with ST Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction Undergoing Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Contrast-induced nephropathy (CIN) is a common complication of primary percutaneous coronary intervention (pPCI) and is associated with high mortality and morbidity and long hospital stay in patients with ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). The Syntax Score (SS) has previously been studied in STEMI patients, and it was associated with increased CIN development ...

Evaluation of ejection fraction in patients with acute myocardial infarction undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention

Introduction: Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is a reperfusion strategy to increase life expectancy and ejection fraction (EF) in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients. We investigated the effect of location, severity, type of lesion, number and type of vessel involved and time of angioplasty on the increase in EF in STEMI patients undergoing primary PCI (P-PCI) a...

Contrast-Induced Nephropathy in Patients Undergoing Percutaneous Coronary Intervention

BACKGROUND Contrast media are being widely applied for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. This has resulted in increasing incidence of contrast-induced nephropathy (CIN). METHODS We aimed to investigate the value of baseline serum IL-6 concentrations in predicting CIN before the rise of serum creatinine (SCr) in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention. Seventy four Cauca...
