The Orbital Period of the Ultracompact Low-mass X-ray Binary 4u 1543–624
We report the discovery of the orbital period of the ultracompact low-mass X-ray binary (LMXB) 4U 1543−624 using time-resolved optical photometry taken with the 6.5-m Clay (Magellan II) telescope in Chile. We present an analysis of XMM-Newton and RXTE data from three observations of the neutron star LMXB 4U 1636-536.
