The temporal pattern of VR sickness during 7.5-h virtual immersion

Abstract In this study, we assessed the relationship between exposure duration and VR sickness severity during 7.5-h virtual immersion. First, showed that was positively correlated to duration: longer participants were exposed environment, more severe symptoms they had. Second, a dynamic adaptation process long time of exposure: adaption effect had already been established could be broken as continued increase, new would establish. Moreover, distinguishable symptom profile HMD compared with LCD, which insusceptible duration. This is first report presenting temporal pattern such long-duration exposure. Our study offer predictive model level immersion provide suggestions for use technology scientific clinical application, business entertainment.
