The Synergy between John Dewey’s Educational Democracy and Levant’s Lebanon Educational Reforms

This study examines the impact of John Dewey’s democratic educational principles on reforms Lebanese system using data collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews, with open-ended questions, as part case studies designed for this purpose. The participants in are all academics, facilitators, intellectuals and scholars a decent (n=30), undertaking full-time part-time academic posts, involving learning teaching activities at universities other higher institutions/providers Lebanon diaspora (United States America Australia). As studies, individual, personal, professional journeys educators sketched details relation to four (4) key reformative principles. Moreover, current research finally concludes by providing realistic response following question that currently lingers every mind Lebanese, scholar’s lips, namely, given Lebanon’s liberal relatively system, intellectual reformers truly opportunity create positive constructive future vision its system. chapter further provides clear-cut description hurdles facing including scholars, intellectuals, residing both diaspora. an elaboration how such actual impacting country’s brain drain phenomenon, witnessed during unfortunate latest crisis (1975-1991), post-crisis (1992-present) periods, which, itself, act vicious circle, heavily contributing continuously deteriorating state public
