The Stanford Drone Dataset Is More Complex Than We Think: An Analysis of Key Characteristics

چکیده

Several datasets exist which contain annotated information of individuals’ trajectories. Such are vital for many real-world applications, including trajectory prediction and autonomous navigation. One prominent dataset currently in use is the Stanford Drone Dataset (SDD) (Robicquet et al. , 2016). Despite its prominence, discussion surrounding characteristics this insufficient. We demonstrate how insufficiency reduces available to users can impact performance. Our contributions include outlining key SDD, employment an information-theoretic measure custom metric clearly visualize those characteristics, implementation PECNet (Mangalam 2020) Y-Net 2021) models outlined characteristics’ on predictive performance, lastly we provide a comparison between SDD Intersection (inD) Dataset. analysis SDD’s important because without adequate about user’s ability select most suitable their methods, reproduce one another’s results, interpret own results hindered. The observations make through readily accessible interpretable source planning SDD. intention increase performance reproducibility methods applied going forward, while also detailing less obvious features new users.

Eyes say more than we think

Eyes say more than we think It's finally summer and I've finished my third year of medical school, so I am going to have long and carefree holidays. This made wonder about how patients feel during their holidays and whether they can stop thinking about their illness just for a while. From my experience I would say NO; they think about it even more, but what can be done about it? I remember when...

Animals know more than we used to think.

T scientific investigation of mental experiences is enjoying a productive renaissance. Rebounding after decades of repression by behaviorism and reductionism, neuroscientists have joined psychologists and philosophers in seeking to learn what distinguishes conscious from nonconscious functioning of brains (1–6). But despite the well known power of a comparative approach to challenging biologica...

D-Lactic Acidosis: More Prevalent Than We Think?

D-lactate acidosis, in which the D-isomer of lactate accumulates, may be more prevalent than once thought. This uncommon disorder has been reported in the setting of short bowel syndrome, and in particular, with high carbohydrate diets in children. Mental status changes and gait instability, the classic symptoms of D-lactate buildup, may not immediately lead the clinician to consider this uncom...

CML in blast crisis: more common than we think?

In this issue of Blood, Hovorkova and colleagues assessed minimal residual disease (MRD) sequentially in children with Philadelphia chromosome positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Ph ALL) via BCR-ABL1 genomic polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and immunoglobulin gene (IG)/T-cell receptor gene (TCR) PCR in parallel. Results were concordant in most patients, but .20% of children with Ph ALL had MR...
