چکیده
Chronic airway colonization by bacteria and fungi is very common in CF patients, causing irreversible lung damage. It known that rates of fungal infections are much lower than those bacterial infections, however they can worsen the medical condition patients. In this study, we identify most species isolated from 31 adult patients Qatar analyze their correlation with function, pulmonary exacerbations, bronchial asthma, pancreatic insufficiency. Mycological evaluation, as well records, were reviewed for regularly under service at Hamad General Hospital period between 2017–2019. All included study carry rare CFTR mutations. The majority (n = 25) carried c.3700A>G; I1234V mutation, whereas three heterozygous mutation (c.1657C>T c.1115A>T) remaining homozygous (c.920G>A). Twenty-two participants (70.9%) colonized regardless type mutation. Candida Aspergillus common, colonizing 81% 45% respectively. For dubliniensis was frequently reported (55.6%), fumigatus (50.0%) among These identified pathogens associated poor insufficiency, asthma cohort. Such could possibly aggravate complications, notably

Novel CFTR Mutations in Two Iranian Families with Severe Cystic Fibrosis
Background: Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a common autosomal recessive disorder that affects many body systems and is produced by mutations in the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene. CF is also the most frequently inherited disorder in the West. The aim of this study was to detect the mutations in the CFTR gene in two Iranian families with CF. Methods: After DNA extractio...
متن کاملMutation and Rare Polymorphisms Insight in Exons 7 and 20 of CFTR Gene in Non-Caucasian Cystic Fibrosis Patients
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is the most common severe autosomal recessive disorder caused by a wide spectrum of mutations in the gene encoding for the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) protein. The frequencies, types and distributions of mutations vary widely between different populations and ethnic groups. The aim of this study was to perform a comprehensive analysis of the C...
متن کاملErratum: Heterogeneous Spectrum of CFTR Gene Mutations in Korean Patients with Cystic Fibrosis
BACKGROUND Cystic fibrosis (CF) is one of the most common hereditary disorders among Caucasians. The most common mutations of the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene have been well established among Caucasian populations. In Koreans, however, there are very few cases of genetically confirmed CF thus far, and the spectrum of mutations seems quite different from that o...
متن کاملCorrection: CFTR Mutations Spectrum and the Efficiency of Molecular Diagnostics in Polish Cystic Fibrosis Patients
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is caused by mutations in the cystic fibrosis transmembrane regulator gene (CFTR). In light of the strong allelic heterogeneity and regional specificity of the mutation spectrum, the strategy of molecular diagnostics and counseling in CF requires genetic tests to reflect the frequency profile characteristic for a given population. The goal of the study was to provide an upd...
متن کاملSpectrum of CFTR gene mutations in Iranian Azeri Turkish patients with cystic fibrosis.
AIMS Cystic fibrosis (CF) is an autosomal recessive disease caused by mutations in the CF transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene. In the present study, for the first time, we determined the spectrum of CFTR gene mutations in 100 patients with CF originated from the Iranian Azeri Turkish ethnic group. RESULTS Here, we report identification of 17 previously known and one novel mutation...
