The Sogdian epitaph of Shi Jun and his wife

Abstract Three bilingual Chinese and Sogdian epitaphs have been discovered published in recent years. The first of these forms part the tomb Wirkakk, alias Shi Jun 史君 “Mr Shi”, his wife Wiyusi, who were buried 580 ce Chang'an, capital Northern Zhou. This article provides some corrections to previous editions version attempts elucidate points which so far appeared obscure.
