Spodoptera frugiperda J. E. Smith is an invasive insect that has become a pest on corn plants in Indonesia. S. attacks maize from the vegetative to generative phases. Leaves of attacked by larvae. with plant populations affected 55-100% causing yield losses 15-73%. The usual control use synthetic insecticides, but insecticides continuously or unwisely will have negative impact humans and environment, therefore safe environmentally friendly alternative using vegetable jengkol (Pithecellobium lobate Benth). This study aims obtain effective concentration bark extract armyworm pests J.E. laboratory. was conducted experimentally complete randomized design (RAL) consisting five treatments four repeats so 20 experimental units were obtained. used 0 g.l-1 water, 25 50 75 100. water. parameters observed initial time death (hours), lethal (LC50 LC95) (%), total mortality temperature, humidity. Jengkol extracts 100 water controlling (Spodoptera Smith) laboratory because this able cause 90% 17.25 hours after application at 60.75 application.
