Abstract As an important part of the substation, seismic capacity ultra-high voltage (UHV) electrical equipment is related to safe and stable operation substation whole power grid. The UHV gas-insulated transmission lines (GIL) have many structural characteristics, such as long pipeline distance, large span between supports obvious amplification effect supports. Its natural frequency close predominant wave, resulting in its susceptibility resonance or resonance-like high susceptibility. In order analyze performance GIL better, vibration mode decomposition response spectrum method dynamic time-history analysis are used this paper. search for weak positions a reference effectively improving GIL.
