The Role of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) in Developing Turkish Pre-Service EFL Teachers’ Technology Adoption

As 21st century has witnessed drastic changes in educational technology, the education of pre-service teachers gained more significance. Educators are then sought to be digitally literate who also accepting new technologies utilize web tools competently. That said, this current quantitative driven-mix method research scrutinizes role Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) enhancing English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teachers’ technology adoption changing landscape. Accordingly, an online questionnaire together with structured interview used gather data from 94 EFL at public university Tu?rkiye due restrictions Covid-19 pandemic during 2020-21 academic year. Quantitative analyzed through SPSS 27.0 detect construct-dependent and -independent frequency levels whereas qualitative lieu grounded theory by means thematic analysis. result analysis, it is revealed that Turkish acceptance moderately high, albeit there no significant difference regarding age, gender, personal computer ownership. On other hand, results provide deeper insight into participants’ perceptions on related concepts. The mainly noted growing need for modifications teacher programs order familiarize well improve their future technology-integrated language teaching practices.
