The Relationship of Inflammation Parameters with Obstruction in Coronary Artery Ectasia

چکیده
Background: Coronary artery ectasia (CAE) is a coronary disease that can progress in wide clinical spectrum, from asymptomatic cases to stable angina pectoris or acute syndrome. CAE present with an syndrome without obstructive lesion. Although many studies comparing isolated normal arteries and disease, patients type lesions (obstructive CAE) have never been evaluated. In this study, we aimed compare terms of various inflammatory parameters.Materials Methods: A total 190 were enrolled, including 95 age sex-matched patients. All participants evaluated the study consisted admitted emergency department diagnosed NSTE-ACS. Systemic parameters such as Platelet/lymphocyte ratio (PLR), Neutrophil/lymphocyte (NLR), Monocyte/HDL ratio, CRP sedimentation patients, compared between two groups. Results: value was found significantly higher CAE, [5.5 (3.0-9.0) mg/L, 4.0 (3.0-6.0) mg/L (P=0.003) respectively]. PLR [143±76, 120±45 (p=0.015) multivariable logistic regression analysis, only independent predictor obstruction [OR:1.075 (1.011-1.142), p=0.021].Conclusions: To best our knowledge, first evaluate effects on presenting We shown systemic inflammation increased presence

Coronary artery ectasia with annuloaortic ectasia.
A 50-year-old Japanese woman with annuloaortic ectasia was found to have total coronary artery ectasia without evident atherosclerosis. The coronary ectasia may have been secondary to or of similar etiology to the annuloaortic ectasia. There was neither stigmata of Marfan's syndrome nor any sign of dissection of the ascending aorta or coronary arteries. Furthermore, the patient was not elderly,...
متن کاملThe relationship between elevated magnesium levels and coronary artery ectasia
BACKGROUND Coronary artery ectasia (CAE) without specific symptoms is the localised or diffuse swelling of the epicardial coronary arteries. Magnessium (Mg) plays an important role in cardiac excitability, vascular tonus, contractibility, reactivity and vasodilatation. In our research, we aimed to study the vasodilatory effect of Mg in the aetiopathogenesis of ectasia. METHODS Patients identi...
متن کاملThe relationship between vitamin D deficiency and coronary artery ectasia
INTRODUCTION The pathophysiology of coronary artery ectasia (CAE) has not been clearly identified although multiple abnormalities including arteritis, endothelial dysfunction, and atherothrombosis have been reported. The role of vitamin D deficiency suggests cardiovascular diseases such as coronary artery disease, heart failure, and hypertension. Vitamin D deficiency activates the renin-angiote...
متن کاملThe relationship between oxidative stress and coronary artery ectasia.
BACKGROUND Whereas coronary artery ectasia (CAE) is a rare abnormality of the coronary arteries, co-existent coronary artery disease (CAD) is commonly seen in CAE patients. Since a causative relationship has been shown to exist between oxidative stress and CAD, we sought to determine whether any relationship exists between oxidative stress and CAE. METHODS Fourty four patients with CAE (witho...
متن کاملThe Relationship Between Blood Monocyte Count and Coronary Artery Ectasia
BACKGROUND The pathophysiology of coronary artery ectasia (CAE) has not been clearly identified, although multiple abnormalities including arteritis, endothelial dysfunction, and atherothrombosis have been reported. It is known that monocytes play an important role in inflammation, atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease. We aimed to compare the numbers of monocyte counts of the CAE patients...
