THE PREFERENCE OF WRITING APPROACH AMONG ESL TEACHER TRAINEES IN PRIMARY EDUCATION

چکیده

Deterioration in the command of English language among Malaysian students has been discussed far and wide. as a Second Language (ESL) teachers strive to adopt adapt various strategies customize lessons, particularly writing lessons enable write English. Thus, this study was conducted investigate instructions practised by teacher trainees selected ESL primary classrooms Malaysia. The scrutinized details two approaches used with regard product approach process approach. Ten were using purposive sampling method. A mixed-method design employed. participants observed an observation checklist interviewed. data analyzed Rasch Measurement Model thematic analysis. It found that Product Approach preferred Process due its practicality application. be useful but unable apply them rampantly time, institutional pedagogical factors. recommends educational intuitions policymakers focus on more sophisticated enhance abilities cultivate independent skills habits.
