The Negative Influence of Urban Underground Space Development on Urban Microclimate

The development of urban underground space can increase the green area a city and have positive impact on microclimate. However, negative impacts under-ground microclimate are rarely considered analyzed. In this study, we focus analyzing commercial streets under determinant form using outdoor CO concentrations as evaluation index. regard, it was possible to quantitatively evaluate influences various factors (e.g., intensity streets; location height shaft exhaust; ground-greening configurations transverse vertical trees, large small shrubs, grasses) concentration. results showed that higher increases concentration its range effects. Properly increasing exhausts, choosing dispersed layout for planting shrubs ground in effectively reduce street air quality.
