The Kurdish Women’s Movement in Turkey and Its Struggle for Gender Justice

This paper looks at the Kurdish women’s struggles for gender justice intersection of two diverse social movements in Turkey: national movement, on one hand, and Turkish feminist other. It argues that Women’s Movement (KWM) has functioned as a powerful process learning both men women community larger society. destabilized transformed feudal–patriarchal relations norms community, lingering sexism majoritarian constraints movement.
