The knowledge and attitude of Nepalese nursing students towards dementia

BackgroundAs aging is a significant risk factor for dementia, the number of persons with dementia growing annually as result population, which implies need better geriatric care services in terms both quantity and quality.MethodsThe knowledge attitudes Nepalese nursing students (n = 177) concerning were examined using descriptive correlational research approach. Alzheimer's Disease Knowledge Scale (ADKS) Dementia Attitude (DAS) used to measure students' attitude dementia.Results discussionThe overall mean score ADKS was found be 19.64 (SD 3.363) out 30, while total on DAS 93.82 10.09) 140. A positive relationship established between scores (r 0.148, P 0.050), demonstrating limited towards people students.
