The Inverse Magnetocaloric Effect of MgB2 Superconductor

چکیده
Abstract The magnetocaloric effect-(MCE) of MgB 2 is simulated, considering the effect sintering temperature on MCE. results show that MCE samples an inverse type in a range diamagnetic-paramagnetic transition. Moreover, for improved with high temperature. comparison between and other some reported magnetic materials has been done, showing parameters are larger than La 1-x Cd x MnO 3 , 1.25 Sr 0.75 MnCoO 6 Gd 1−x Ca BaCo O 5.5 Ni 58 Fe 26 Ga 28 2+x Mn Ge, Ge 0.95 0.05 film, (001)-oriented MnAs film. It suggested could be promising sharing candidate MR cryogenic temperatures.

متن کاملPreparation and Characterization of MgB2 Superconductor
Superconducting MgB2 crystallites having a size up to 3 X 2 X 1 mm have been grown using a liquidassisted-sintering process under atmospheric pressure of argon. The magnetization measurements have been carried out on MgB2 samples to determine upper critical field, critical current density and irreversibility line. The obtained values of critical current density and upper critical field were ~10...
متن کاملPermanent magnet with MgB2 bulk superconductor
Superconductors with persistent zero-resistance currents serve as permanent magnets for high-field applications requiring a strong and stable magnetic field, such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The recent global helium shortage has quickened research into high-temperature superconductors (HTSs)—materials that can be used without conventional liquid-helium cooling to 4.2 K. Herein, we demo...
متن کاملMagnetic superelasticity and inverse magnetocaloric effect in Ni-Mn-In
Applying a magnetic field to a ferromagnetic Ni50Mn34In16 alloy in the martensitic state induces a structural phase transition to the austenitic state. This is accompanied by a strain which recovers on removing the magnetic field, giving the system a magnetically superelastic character. A further property of this alloy is that it also shows the inverse magnetocaloric effect. The magnetic supere...
متن کاملMicrostructure of the highly dense MgB2 Superconductor by TEM
The microstructure of the MgB2 superconductor sintered at high temperature under a high pressure of ∼ 3 GPa was investigated by using a highresolution transmission electron microscope (HRTEM). The TEM images did not show any pores in the specimen. All grains were compactly connected, and no discernable empty spaces or impurities at the boundaries existed over the regions investigated. The HRTEM...
