The Intensity of Urban Sprawl in Poland

The issues of urban sprawl are current in both global research as well the sphere activities by public authorities developed and developing countries. Urban is a phenomenon that goes beyond administrative boundaries cities, which forces monitoring on wide territorial scale, i.e., regional national. However, assessing level such scale still remains challenge many Poland an example, where there deficit phenomenon, its spatial specificity, comparisons between other national areas. presented uses morphology method to assess Poland. assumes use square grids building locations for quantification sprawl. Based 14 areas aggregate 296 communes, it was pointed out moderate. results indicate not significant or compact structures.
