چکیده

Graphite foil (GF) compressed from exfoliated graphite (EG) is a sealing material, which used in nuclear energy and the chemical industry. The preparation of complex process, includes intercalation graphite, water washing, thermal exfoliation pressing intermediate products. conditions significantly influence structure material its physicochemical properties. Thus, aim work was to reveal correlation between GF processing conditions, crystalline structure, porosity gas permeability as well stability. Sealability connected with low value permeability, while stability allows use high-temperature processes. Optimization these parameters allow for obtaining reliable expanding areas application. Exfoliated prepared at different temperatures 600, 800 1000 °C H2SO4–graphite compound (GIC) II, III, IV stages. (the GIC stage number EG temperature) on main properties (gas oxidation stability) materials investigated. A decrease leads formation lower macroporosity nitrogen hydrogen permeability. However, an increase surface area rate by air oxygen. An temperature oC results developed micro- mesoporosity increasing down 600 promotes new transport macropores GF. change has little effect

An investigation on absorption properties of exfoliated graphite for oil spill from Caspian Sea water

Oil spills are the most important environmental impact in oceans and seas. In this article, Oil absorption, which was explored from Sardar-e-Jangal oilfield in Caspian Sea, by exfoliated graphite (EG), was investigated. Graphite was exfoliated through the reaction of graphite-CrO3 intercalation compounds with hydrogen peroxide. The obtained absorbent was characterized by Brunauer-Emmett-Teller ...

A review of exfoliated graphite

Exfoliated graphite (EG) refers to graphite that has a degree of separation of a substantial portion of the carbon layers in the graphite. Graphite nanoplatelet (GNP) is commonly prepared by mechanical agitation of EG. The EG exhibits clinginess, due to its cellular structure, but GNP does not. The clinginess allows the formation of EG compacts and flexible graphite sheet without a binder. The ...

the effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

the influence of the neo-platonic concept of poetic imagination on wordsworth’s poetry
