The importance of flow for secondary school students’ experiences in geometry

This article is intended to contribute greater knowledge regarding the importance of flow and time used perform an activity, with a focus on students’ mathematical experiences 3D bodies. Thirty-one 9th-grade students took part in study. Flow variation theory was analysis lesson observations, submission tasks, audio recordings, logbooks, tests nationwide tests. The results indicate that selected mathematics problem characterized by seven components, which serve as basis for identifying critical aspects; evident balance between skills challenges aspects discern; experience dependent upon approach their work various activities; are based, both short- long-term, discerned spent activity generates flow. Theoretical contributions well implications teaching presented at end article.
