چکیده
The heat transfer is studied during the melting and solidification of sp11 sp24 phase change materials in different container shapes. are further mixed with nano-alumina nano CuO enhancements. We aim to identify most favorable material for free-cooling summer free-heating winter. Ansys Fluent 20.2 used analyze 2D models mechanisms samples cylindrical, square, rectangular, elliptical-shaped capsules. nanomaterial-enhanced improves behavior over base by as much 9.8%. It observed that particularly rectangular-shaped containers has faster rates 43% compared others. 4% a rectangular profile shortest times ~70-100 mins, when inlet temperatures 313 318 K. same time 426 two 928 mins cylindrical capsule under conditions. Sp11 also short 134 mins. found capable achieving highest temperature drop about 3.3 K free cooling air using nano-enhanced sp24. A Numerical Investigation of Heat Transfer in Phase Change Materials ( PCMs ) Embedded in Porous Metals
The effects of metal foams on heat transfer enhancement in Phase Change Materials (PCMs) are investigated. The numerical investigation is based on the two-equation non-equilibrium heat transfer model, in which the coupled heat conduction and natural convection are considered at phase transition and liquid zones. The numerical results are validated by experimental data. The main findings of the ...
متن کاملNumerical Investigations of Heat Transfer in Phase Change Materials (pcms) Using Non-thermal Equilibrium Model
Phase change materials (PCMs) are drawing increasing attention of researchers nowadays, and they play a pivotal role in thermal energy storage (TES) used in renewable energy resources applications, since these renewable energy, such as solar energy, wind energy and tidal energy, are intermittent and not available at any time. However, most of PCMs suffer from low thermal conductivities prolongi...
متن کاملConvective Interactions and Heat Transfer in a Czochralski Melt with a Model Phase Boundary of Two Different Shapes
Implicit in most large-scale numerical analyses of the crystal growth from the melt is the assumption that the shape and position of the phase boundary are determined by the transport phenomena coupled strongly to the melt hydrodynamics. In the present numerical study, the interface shape-effect on the convective interactions in a Czochralski oxide melt is described. It was demonstrated that th...
