The Hamilton–Jacobi analysis for higher-order Chern–Simons gravity

چکیده

The Hamilton–Jacobi [HJ] analysis for higher-order Chern–Simons gravity is performed. complete set of HJ Hamiltonians identified and a fundamental differential constructed, from which the characteristic equations are obtained. In addition, symmetries theory results compared with other approaches reported in literature.

Higher-order spectral analysis of nonlinear ocean surface gravity 'waves

Bispectral and trispectral analyses are used to detect secondary and tertiary wave components resulting from nonlinear interactions among largeamplitude ocean surface gravity waves in 8and 13-m water depths. Bispectra of bottom-pressure measurements indicate forced secondary waves at frequencies 2fp about twice the primary power spectral peak frequency fp. However, the interpretation of the bis...

The Effective Cosmological Constant in Higher Order Gravity Theories

Fundamental issues as the determination of gravity vacuum state, the mechanism which led the early universe to the today observed large scale structures, and the prediction of what will be the fate of the whole universe are all connected to the determination of cosmological constant. Besides, from several points of view, it seems that Einstein’s theory of gravity must be generalized to higher–o...

Almost–homogeneity of the Universe in Higher–order Gravity

In the R+αR gravity theory, we show that if freely propagating massless particles have an almost isotropic distribution, then the spacetime is almost Friedmann–Robertson– Walker (FRW). This extends the result proved recently in general relativity (α = 0), which is applicable to the microwave background after photon decoupling. The higher– order result is in principle applicable to a massless sp...
