Road pavements are pivotal to the infrastructure, transportation and ultimate efficiency of both public economy. However, they undeniably having detrimental effects on an already compromised environment. Consequently, a re-think about road pavement construction materials is paramount importance. Cold mix asphalt (CMA) low carbon manufacturing approach production flexible material that has proved be very promising, economically ecologically. This technology allows manufacture mixtures at ambient temperatures without heating huge amounts aggregates bitumen, this decreasing CO2 emissions saving energy. In spite these positive impacts, CMA high sensitivity traffic environmental stresses due existence water within mixture, major concern industry. study aims review types main developments involved in cold bitumen emulsion mixture (CBEM) can used in-service performance. also provide practical guide for design procedure CBEM Finally, it suggested crucial technique construction, as provides acceptable performance alongside energy-saving ecological objectives.
