The Evolution of Plasma Composition during a Solar Flare

چکیده
We analyse the coronal elemental abundances during a small flare using Hinode/EIS observations. Compared to pre-flare abundances, we observed strong increase in abundance of Ca XIV 193.84 {\AA}, an emission line with low first ionisation potential (FIP < 10 eV), as quantified by ratio Ca/Ar flare. This is contrast unchanged Si X 258.38 {\AA}/S 264.23 {\AA}. propose two different mechanisms explain composition results. Firstly, flare-induced heating could have ionised S, but not noble gas Ar, so that flare-driven Alfv\'en waves brought up Si, S and tandem via ponderomotive force which acts on ions. Secondly, location magnetic fields between sunspots may suggest fractionation occurred chromosphere, where background neutral H. In this region, high-FIP behave more like low-FIP than element. The physical interpretations proposed generate new insights into evolution plasma solar atmosphere flaring, suggests current models must be updated reflect dynamic rather just static scenarios.

The Isotopic Composition of Solar Flare Accelerated Neon
The individual isotopes of neon in energetic solar flare particles have been clearly resolved with arms mass resolution of 0.20 amu. We find 20Ne/22Ne = 7.6 ( +2.0, -1.8) and 21Ne/22Ne < 0.11 in the 11-26 MeV per nucleon interval. This isotopic composition is essentially the same as that of meteoritic planetary neon-A and is significantly different from that of the solar wind. Subject headings:...

Solar Flare Cycles
We present a review of different solar flare periodicity intervals. Our analysis includes a statistical investigation of flare occurrence and N-S hemispheric distribution over the last three 11-yr solar cycles (SCs 21-23, corresponding to the period 1976-2001). Moreover, we try to estimate if there is any connection between the flare activity and the strength of solar cycles. For that purpose, ...
متن کاملDiagnostics of solar flare reconnection
Part of Special Issue " Nonlinear processes in solar-terrestrial physics and dynamics of Earth-Ocean-System " Abstract. We present new diagnostics of the solar flare reconnection, mainly based on the plasma radio emission. We propose that the high-frequency (600–2000 MHz) slowly drifting pulsating structures map the flare magnetic field re-connection. These structures correspond to the radio em...
