The Evolution Characteristics of Twisted Hermite–Gaussian Schell-Model Beams Propagating in a Uniaxial Crystal

In this paper, we study the propagation properties of twisted Hermite–Gaussian Schell- model (THGSM) beams propagating in a uniaxial crystal orthogonal to optical axis. We derive concrete analytical expression cross-spectral density (CSD) function and simulate evolution characteristics such beams, including normalized spectral intensity, degree coherence (DOC), effective beam width. find that intensity distribution exhibits non-circular symmetric self-splitting while rotating, DOC is rotationally distorted, which quite different from an isotropic medium. The initial parameters both affect DOC. Furthermore, increasing twist factor adjusting ratio extraordinary light refractive index ordinary ne/no can suppress expansion as crystal. Our results show be used determine whether carry phase or not, modulate beams.
