The Endocannabinoid System a Turning Point in Optimizing Physiotherapy Procedures in Knee Osteoarthritis

Introduction: Knee Osteoarthritis (KOA) is characterized by wear, tear, and it's a slowly progressive loss of cartilage, that becomes finally disabling. KOA one the most analyzed diseases many medical specialties such as rheumatology, orthopedics, rehabilitation medicine, physiotherapy. Major symptoms pain, dysfunction, chronic low-grade inflammation will decrease quality life eventually lead to locomotor disability. Since there are no effective ways limit progression, involvement endocannabinoid system (ECS) may be non-pharmacological therapeutic alternative in management this disease. This study debate aspects modulate ECS KOA, using physiotherapeutic (PT) means TENS electroanalgesia, LASER biostimulation, physical exercises with analgesic effects. Materials Methods: In study, we included 82 sources, following keywords title: knee osteoarthritis, cannabidiol, endocannabinoid, inflammatory analgesia, neuropathic physiotherapy, electrotherapy, LASER.
