چکیده
Abstract Introduction The subcutaneous implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (S-ICD) is considered especially beneficial in young patients with an inherited cardiac disease, but data on these patient groups limited. Purpose To evaluate the eligibility of disease for therapy a Methods We retrospectively analysed all who received S-ICD our tertiary center between February 2009 and June 2021. ECG parameters appropriate inappropriate shocks were collected. Different diagnoses compared using chi-square test. Results 109 diagnosed IVF (DPP6-based, N=41, 37.6%), HCM (N=36, 33.0%), Brugada syndrome (BrS, N=13, 11.9%), ARVC (N=9, 8.3%), PLN (N=3, 2.8%), LQTS (N=2, 1.8%) other cardiomyopathies (N=5, 4.6%). Mean follow-up was 5.5±3.4 years. did not significantly change during follow-up. most likely to receive shock (10/36, P=0.01), followed by (2/9, P=0.57) (1/13, P=0.40). Patients had frequently (1/2, P=0.06), BrS (4/13, P=0.008) (4/36, P=0.8). Conclusion are eligible therapy, comes risk shocks, BrS. Implantable cardioverter-defibrillator in a patient with dextrocardia situs inversus
Background: Dextrocardia is a congenital anomaly, which may have coexistent coronary artery disease (CAD), arrhythmias and conventional indications for device therapy. However, the implantation of transvenous leads can be technically challenging and the approach needs to be tailored to the patient's individual anatomy. Case presentation: A 54-year-old male with dextrocardia situs inversus and i...

or nearly 3 decades, the implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) has been available to patients who survived life-threatening rapid heart rhythms or are at risk of experiencing them. The ICD comprises a device generator coupled with a defibrillation lead. Traditional ICDs are implanted under the skin with the generator positioned beneath the collar bone. The defibrilla-tion lead is inserte...

UNLABELLED ICD Shocks in Cardiac Sarcoidosis. BACKGROUND An implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) is indicated for some patients with cardiac sarcoidosis (CS) for prevention of sudden death. However, there are little data regarding the event rates of ICD therapies in these patients. We sought to identify the incidence and characteristics of ICD therapies in this patient population. M...
متن کاملSubcutaneous implantable cardioverter-defibrillator placement in a patient with a preexisting transvenous implantable cardioverter-defibrillator
Introduction The subcutaneous implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (S-ICD) is a safe and effective treatment for prevention of sudden cardiac death. It is typically not used in patients who require additional therapies conferred by transvenous implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (TV-ICD) systems, such as bradycardia pacing or antitachycardia pacing (ATP) for ventricular tachycardia (VT). D...
