چکیده
H2 production can be used as a clean and renewable energy source for various applications, including fuel cells, internal combustion engines, chemical production. Using nickel-based catalysts steam reforming biomass tar presents challenges related to catalyst deactivation, poisoning, heterogeneous composition, high process temperatures, gas impurities. To overcome these challenges, adopting with selected oxide support MgO CaO promoter is promising approach improving the efficiency sustainability of hydrogen The majority studies conducted date have focused on particular compounds, most commonly benzene, phenol, toluene, or naphthalene, over range catalysts. However, actual composition complex, each component impacts how well works. In this research, multi-compound model pyrene underwent process. Various types 10 wt.% were generated by co-impregnation technique, which included 90 different supports (Al2O3, La2O3, ZrO2) combination alkaline earth promoters (MgO CaO). Thermogravimetric analysis, Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) method, N2 physisorption, temperature-programmed reduction (H2-TPR), desorption (CO2-TPD), X-ray diffraction (XRD) ni-based characterized physiochemical properties prepared catalyst. reaction temperature was 800 °C, an S/C ratio 1, GHSV 13,500 h−1. Ni/La2O3/MgO/CaO (NiLaMgCa) produced carbon to-gas conversion (86.27 mol%) yield (51.58 after 5 h compared other tested in study. Additionally, filamentous coke deposited spent NiLaMgCa does not impact activity. best investigated, exhibiting stable catalytic performance gasified tar. conclusion, study novel adding supports, strengthening metal-support interaction acid-base balance surface. mesoporous structure active phase (metallic Ni) successfully developed. This lead increase decrease undesired byproducts, such CH4 CO.

متن کاملPropene versus propane steam reforming for hydrogen production over Pd-based and Ni-based catalysts
Experiments of propane and propene steam reforming have been performed over a Pd–Cu/c-Al2O3 catalyst and over a Ni/NiAl2O4 catalyst. Over the palladium-based catalyst, the steam reforming of propene is faster and more selective than steam reforming of propane. Over the Pd catalyst, the steam reforming of propane is likely inhibited by site poisoning. In contrast, over Ni-based catalyst the refo...
