چکیده
Drosophila suzukii (SWD) poses a threat to soft and stone fruit globally. SWD inhabits non-crop areas adjacent farms from where it moves into crops cause damage. Effective IPM control strategies, considering both the crop area, are needed this economically important pest. We conducted meta-analysis quantify impacts of different habitats around on populations, comparing abundance trapped in habitats. Overall, was greater than cropped difference greatest woodland, or field margins containing known host plants. The between not affected by type but winter months conventional compared organic farms, indicating approaches can reduce relative abundance. overwinter which provide refuge outside cropping season. However, certain support others is also farm management. discuss what these findings mean for effective SWD.

Peptidergic control in a fruit crop pest: The spotted-wing drosophila, Drosophila suzukii
Neuropeptides play an important role in the regulation of feeding in insects and offer potential targets for the development of new chemicals to control insect pests. A pest that has attracted much recent attention is the highly invasive Drosophila suzukii, a polyphagous pest that can cause serious economic damage to soft fruits. Previously we showed by mass spectrometry the presence of the neu...
متن کاملthe effects of changing roughness on the flow structure in the bends
flow in natural river bends is a complex and turbulent phenomenon which affects the scour and sedimentations and causes an irregular bed topography on the bed. for the reason, the flow hydralics and the parameters which affect the flow to be studied and understand. in this study the effect of bed and wall roughness using the software fluent discussed in a sharp 90-degree flume bend with 40.3cm ...
critical period effects in foreign language learning:the influence of maturational state on the acquisition of reading, writing, and grammar in english as a foreign language
since the 1960s the age effects on learning both first and second language have been explored by many linguists and applied linguists (e.g lennerberg, 1967; schachter, 1996; long, 1990) and the existence of critical period for language acquisition was found to be a common ground of all these studies. in spite of some common findings, some issues about the impacts of age on acquiring a second or...
15 صفحه اولGenome of Drosophila suzukii, the Spotted Wing Drosophila
Drosophila suzukii Matsumura (spotted wing drosophila) has recently become a serious pest of a wide variety of fruit crops in the United States as well as in Europe, leading to substantial yearly crop losses. To enable basic and applied research of this important pest, we sequenced the D. suzukii genome to obtain a high-quality reference sequence. Here, we discuss the basic properties of the ge...
