The effect of plant mycotrophy and soil disturbance on soil microbial activity

چکیده

In cropping systems, the choices adopted for tillage system used and plants cultivated can strongly influence soil microbial population its functional profile. Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi are an important component of microbiome their mutualistic symbiosis with majority higher grant latter a wide range benefits. The extraradical mycelium developed by these expands volume influenced harbours diversity microbes establishing distinct environment complementary interactions. We assessed how growing different levels mycotrophy modifies biological activity profile in under Mn toxicity whether this is modified disturbance. Following mycotrophic plants, contained more active than after non-mycotrophic as expressed values basal respiration or dehydrogenase activity. Additionally, count phosphorus solubilizes phosphatase were greater plants. Even among profiles be distinguished legume grass. ERM disruption disturbance decreased most parameters studied P solubilizers significant way. These results indicate that even toxicity, associated AMF following growth presented had differential response towards stress imposed disturbance, when compared roots.

Plant diversity increases soil microbial activity and soil carbon storage.

Plant diversity strongly influences ecosystem functions and services, such as soil carbon storage. However, the mechanisms underlying the positive plant diversity effects on soil carbon storage are poorly understood. We explored this relationship using long-term data from a grassland biodiversity experiment (The Jena Experiment) and radiocarbon ((14)C) modelling. Here we show that higher plant ...

Heavy metal Impact on Soil Microbial Biomass , Soil dehydrogenase activity and Soil Respiration rate

The contamination of agricultural soils by heavy metals is a global problem. Soil texture as a biotic factor represents one of the most important factors that influences the distribution of organic matter and ultimately play decisive role in retention of heavy metals in soil ecosystem. The effects of heavy metals on soil microbial processes were investigated. Analytical grade sulphate and chlor...

Detection of irradiation induced changes on the activity and diversity of soil microbial communities: The effect of soil type

Our aim was to measure the effects of irradiation treatments on soil communities from three different soils. Undisturbed soil cores from three temperate sites (deciduous and coniferous woodland and grassland) were irradiated to give cumulative doses from 0–160 Gy. Cores were incubated at 15C and three cores from each treatment sampled after <1, 3 and 8 d. Soil fungi and heterotrophic bacteria w...

Degradation of the Fungicides, Azoxystrobin and Difenoconazole in Soil and their Influence on Soil Microbial Activity

The non-target effects of Amistar (azoxystrobin) and Score (difenoconazole) were studied in terms of changes in the soil microbial populations, soil respiration and activity of soil enzymes. Both the fungicides significantly reduced the fungal population in the soils even at the lowest concentration used (0.44 g. (a.i.) g soil) and totally eliminated it at the recommended dose for field applica...
