چکیده
Objectives: Proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy (PDR) is one of the leading causes blindness and visual loss. Panretinal Photocoagulation (PRP) reduces risk severe vision loss in PDR. Good acuity results can improve vision-related quality life. The objective this study to evaluate effect laser PRP on patients with PDR Methods: In prospective study, 30 (12 men 18 women) treated were included (mean age: 51 years, SD: 5,08 years). On average, received 1.264 spots. National Eye Institute 7-Item Visual Function Index (VF-7) was used patient's VF-7 filled by interview twice, at beginning before least 1 month after completion PRP. Comparison performed. correlation between alteration will be evaluated. Results: Mean 7.00 ± 0.00 it 3.43 3.16 (p<0.001, Wilcoxon). scores had a statistically significant difference (p<0.05). There strong score (p <0.001, r 0.748). Conclusion: improvement life following panretinal photocoagulation proliferative diabetic retinopathy.
