نویسندگان

چکیده

Objectives: The aim of this systematic review was to analyze the effect keratinized mucosa (KM) on different peri-implant health-related parameters and patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs). Material methods: Randomized controlled trials, cohort, cross-sectional case–control human studies with a follow-up period at least 6 months comparing two groups patients presence or absence KM, KM < 2 mm ≥2 were included. Primary outcomes implant failures, PROMs BoP (BoP/mBI). Additional PPD, plaque accumulation (mPI/PI), gingival inflammation (GI/mGI), marginal bone loss (MBL), soft tissue recession (REC) biological complications. Results: Fifteen included (one RCT, cohort prospective twelve cross-sectional). Meta-analysis performed for studies. Implant failure complications not presented as measures, five analyzed PROMs. Results from meta-analysis reported no evidence any statistical significant difference between in MBL, while GI/BI, PI REC present favor group KW ≥ mm. More KM/KM but few cases draw conclusions. Although could be performed, consistent trend toward worst pain/discomfort observed. Conclusions: No clear found supporting role health PROMs, even if more group. Clinical relevance: have erratic maintenance patient comfort.
