THE EFFECT OF FLUX ON PHOTOLUMINESCENCE PROPERTIES OF SM3+DOPED SR2CEO4 PHOSPHOR

The effect of flux on photoluminescence properties Strontium cerium oxide doped Sm3+ phosphor was studied. synthesized by conventional solid state reaction method at temperature 1200°C for 4h. powder samples were characterized X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron microscope (SEM) and Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) spectrum. X-Ray pattern reveals the crystallite size structure is orthorhombic. Photoluminescence excitation emission spectra Sr2CeO4 :Sm3+ (0.5mol %) without with different fluxes like as Citric acid, Glycin Urea recorded room temperature. color co-ordinates (CIE-1913chromaticity diagram) x =0.542 y = 0.334 (without flux), x=0.577 y=0.336 (with fluxes). This has a good potential applications in display devices.
