THE EFFECT OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE ON LEADERSHIP ORIENTATION

Purpose: Teachers have exceeded the traditional teaching role and are now recognized as leaders who initiate administer institutional change renovation, guide students within beyond classroom. The successful execution of this new leadership that teachers assumed requires to be raised potential prior their professional lives. This, in turn, necessitates determination components influence prospective teachers’ orientations along with a better understanding nature leadership. main purpose study is determine emotional intelligence on first year Anadolu University Education Faculty. Research method: Relational screening model used relation between orientation intelligence. target population relational consists (n=854) studying at Faculty University. Data from over 476 (56%) questionnaires was analyzed. Descriptive statistics structural equation modelling were for data analysis. Findings: findings indicated middle level significant linear relationship (r=0.59; p<0.001) Implications Practice: In accordance these findings, it suggested increase education, programs supporting development should incorporated into teacher education programs.
