The effect of ear acupressure medicine at the “Shen Men” point on the nausea and vomiting during pregnancy

Introduction & Objective: Nausea and vomiting during pregnancy is one of the most common gastrointestinal disorders that more than 85% pregnant women experience. However, controlling treating this complication still important issues in antenatal care. Therefore, aim study was to investigate effect ear acupressure at Shen Men point on relieving nausea, retching pregnancy. Materials Methods: In quasi-experimental study, 100 with a gestational age less 16 weeks attending health clinics Zabol city 2019-2020 were studied two control intervention groups (n = 50 each group). The samples group trained apply pressure their ears’ thumb for three minutes times day (morning, noon, night), duration month. At end second fourth weeks, data collected using Rhodes index form then, analyzed by SPSS software version 22. Results: According results, there no significant difference between terms age, occupation education. mean scores not statistically before study. But four after observed vomiting, nausea groups, so significantly lower group.
