The dynamic of pests and plant diseases during three consecutive rice growing seasons

Abstract Pests and diseases are significant factors that affecting global rice production. There is a need pests have continuously been controlled, in order to solve the pest disease problem. The aim of this study was observe population dynamics infestation lowland field during different cropping seasons. data Pati District, Central Java Province, Indonesia Rainy Season (RS) 2018/2019, Dry (DS) 2019, RS 2019/2020 were observed analyzed. results showed fields susceptible stem borer, brown plant hopper, rats, fake white pests, blast bacterial blight three consecutive Tungro not found. During both DS, areas paddy approximately 470 ha season −1 affected by borer. second largest damage area 221 blast. Grain loses due higher than DS. Micro-climate significantly diseases. dynamic provide information early warning for high-risk production pests-diseases management.
